A meeting between business associates ended in violence on Tuesday, leaving at least two people dead and three others wounded outside a Korean supermarket in Carrollton, police confirmed.
Authorities said the incident occurred in front of the Gwangjang Korean Market, located roughly 25 miles north of downtown Dallas. The injured victims were transported to the hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
According to Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo, officers responded to reports of gunfire along the 4000 block of State Highway 121. A suspect, identified as 69-year-old Seung Han Ho, was apprehended shortly after the incident following a brief foot pursuit.
Police indicated that the shooting stemmed from a pre-arranged business meeting involving the suspect and the victims, stressing that the attack was not random and poses no ongoing threat to the public.
“Currently, there is no immediate threat to the public. This was a meeting with the suspect for a business purpose,” Arredondo said while addressing reporters.

Investigators are working to determine whether a dispute led to the violence, though details surrounding the nature of the meeting remain unclear. Authorities also stated that there is no indication the attack was motivated by hate.
Carrollton, a suburb of Dallas, has a population of over 135,000 residents, according to recent U.S. Census data. The city is home to a significant Asian community, including a notable number of residents of Korean descent.
