A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Antonia Ally, has obtained the party’s nomination form to contest the House of Representatives seat for the Obanliku/Obudu/Bekwarra Federal Constituency.
Ally, daughter of the late Brigadier Godwin Ally, confirmed her ambition in a statement issued on Monday by her media aide, Bolatito Adebola.
Explaining her decision to join the race, she said her motivation is driven by a desire to expand her service to the people through legislative action.

“My father served this country with his life, and I have spent the last decade serving our people through philanthropy. The time has come to take that service to the floor of the House of Representatives to ensure that the voices of the people of Obanliku, Obudu, and Bekwarra are not just heard, but acted upon,” she said.
She noted that her legislative agenda would focus on aligning public policy with the needs of grassroots communities.
“My focus will be on bridging the gap between public policy and grassroots needs,” she added.
Ally also highlighted her involvement in development initiatives across healthcare, education, and youth empowerment.
According to the statement, she previously served as the founding Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the HOW Foundation, where she led interventions targeting vulnerable groups.

The statement further noted that she expanded her grassroots engagement in 2025 with the launch of the Agbede Foundation in Obudu, focusing on vocational training, healthcare services, and educational support for underserved communities.
