The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that its Air Component under Operation HADIN KAI has neutralised several terrorists and destroyed key logistics structures in the Mandara Mountains, a known insurgent stronghold in Nigeria’s North-East.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, said the operation was carried out on April 27 at Guduf, following credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
According to him, NAF air assets conducted a coordinated precision strike after identifying multiple terrorist facilities and logistics hubs actively supporting insurgent operations within the mountainous enclave.

“Acting on credible intelligence and prior ISR confirmation, NAF platforms executed a coordinated operation that identified and engaged terrorist structures and logistics hubs in Guduf,” the statement read.
Ejodame noted that the airstrikes were conducted with precision targeting and strict adherence to established rules of engagement, ensuring that civilian lives and the surrounding environment were protected during the operation.
The strike, he said, destroyed critical infrastructure used by the terrorists, significantly weakening their operational capacity in the area.
“The operation eliminated hostile elements and destroyed their logistics base with lethal accuracy, reinforcing the NAF’s commitment to denying insurgents freedom of action,” he added.
The Mandara Mountains, which straddle the Nigeria-Cameroon border, have long served as a hideout for terrorist groups due to their difficult terrain and limited accessibility.
Military authorities say the latest operation underscores the continued momentum of air offensives under Operation HADIN KAI, aimed at dismantling insurgent networks and restoring stability across the North-East region.

The Nigerian Air Force reiterated its commitment to sustained air operations in coordination with ground troops to ensure the protection of civilians and the preservation of national security.
