President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a leader committed to inclusive governance and social development.
In a statement on Thursday, the President joined the family of Governor Eno and the people of Akwa Ibom State in celebrating him, noting his contributions to promoting unity, peace, and stability in the state.
Tinubu commended the governor’s leadership approach, saying he has consistently worked to bridge divisions and foster cooperation among different groups in the state. He added that such efforts align with the federal government’s broader vision of national unity and development under the Renewed Hope agenda.
The President also highlighted some of the governor’s social intervention programmes, including housing support for low-income residents and food distribution initiatives aimed at vulnerable households, describing them as impactful steps toward reducing hardship at the grassroots.
He wished Governor Eno continued good health and strength as he marks another year, expressing optimism that his administration will further advance development in Akwa Ibom State.
Governor Eno, who has served as governor since 2023, is widely known for his emphasis on social welfare programmes and community-based governance.
