Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has publicly expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while criticizing a protest reportedly organized by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a post shared Wednesday on X (formerly Twitter), Edochie dismissed the protest, stating that he found it unconvincing and ineffective.

The actor argued that key figures associated with the ADC had previously held positions in government without making meaningful contributions to citizens’ welfare.

“All the front men in ADC have been in high positions in government before, but they achieved nothing. They made zero impact in the lives of citizens,” he wrote.

Edochie questioned the credibility of the opposition figures, expressing doubt over their capacity to deliver meaningful reforms if given another opportunity, while declaring a firm declaration of support for President Tinubu.

The comments have since sparked mixed reactions across social media, with supporters of the administration praising Edochie’s stance, while critics argue that his remarks overlook broader concerns raised by opposition groups and civil society actors.

The ADC-led protest is part of ongoing political tensions in Nigeria, as opposition parties and advocacy groups continue to challenge government policies and call for reforms amid economic and social pressures.
