The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the reopening of its National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, and Legacy House in Maitama, Abuja, following the removal of seals placed on the premises by the Nigeria Police Force.

In a press statement issued on April 11, 2026, by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, the National Working Committee (NWC) confirmed that the properties were unsealed and formally handed over to the National Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed Takushara, and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

The party stated that the action was carried out in full compliance with duly issued court orders, describing it as a demonstration of respect for the rule of law and constitutional order.

The PDP commended the Nigeria Police Force for its professionalism in handling the situation and adhering strictly to due process.

While welcoming the development, the party cautioned against any acts capable of disrupting activities at the secretariat, warning that it would not tolerate any form of obstruction or breach of peace.

“All individuals and groups are advised to conduct themselves within the bounds of the law, as security agencies have been duly alerted to take necessary action against violators,” the statement said.

The party noted that the reopening of the offices signals the resolution of recent internal challenges, expressing optimism that the development would foster unity among members.

It called on aggrieved members to set aside their differences and work collectively in the interest of the party.

The PDP also expressed appreciation to its leaders and stakeholders for their support during the period, with special acknowledgement of its National Leader and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, for his role in resolving the crisis.

Reaffirming its commitment to unity and progress, the party declared its readiness to move forward stronger and more cohesive in pursuit of its shared vision.
