The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed as false a viral video circulating on social media which alleged a terrorist attack in Abuja, describing the footage as misleading, deliberately crafted to incite panic among residents.
In a statement released by the Force, authorities said investigations revealed that the video was manipulated using materials sourced from the internet, repackaged to create false impression of a security breach in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the police, the circulation of the video was aimed at spreading fear and undermining public confidence in the nation’s security architecture.
Following intelligence gathering and digital forensic analysis, operatives tracked and arrested a suspect identified as Pam Joseph, who is believed to be responsible for the creation and dissemination of the misleading content.
The Nigeria Police Force warned that the deliberate spread of false information poses a serious threat to public safety and national security. The Force urged citizens to verify the authenticity of information before sharing it on social media platforms.

Police authorities confirmed that the suspect remains in custody, and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
