The African Democratic Congress National Youth Awareness Forum (ADC-NYAF) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe, demanding that he retract what it described as a “false claim” to the position of National Chairman of the party.
In an official notification released by the National Secretary of ADC-NYAF, Comrade Abdulhamid Isah Aliyu, on behalf of the National Chairman of the forum, Comrade Abubakar Ibrahim Jalo, the forum expressed concern over recent public statements allegedly made by Gombe declaring himself the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The group said the claim contradicts the party’s established leadership structure and could create confusion among party members and the general public.
According to the statement, the forum noted that Gombe had previously tendered his resignation from his earlier position within the party and had openly supported the emergence of Distinguished Senator David Mark as the Interim National Chairman.

The youth forum described the sudden claim as inconsistent and capable of undermining internal party democracy.
“As a responsible organ within the party, we find such actions troubling and capable of creating disunity and unnecessary tension within the party,” the statement read.
ADC-NYAF therefore called on Gombe to publicly withdraw the claim and issue an unreserved apology to the party leadership and members within 48 hours.

The forum warned that failure to comply with the ultimatum would compel it to pursue further actions within the provisions of the law and the party’s regulations in order to protect the integrity and unity of the African Democratic Congress.
Copies of the notification were also addressed to party leadership, stakeholders, and the general public.
