The Akwa Ibom State Legislative Aides Forum (AKLAF) has conferred honour on notable philanthropist, business magnate and community development advocate, Chief Churchill Etuk, in Abuja, where he was presented with an Award of Excellence in Leadership and Philanthropy.
Chief Etuk, a top US-based business entrepreneur and Chairman of the Churchill Etuk Foundation was commended for his strategic insight, leadership influence, and unwavering commitment to public service and care for the welfare of the less privileged.
Leading the delegation, Mr. Aniekan Peters, Chairman of the Forum, described the award to Dr. Etuk as a deliberate recognition of a man whose impact has continued to redefine social governance in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria.
Dr. Etuk, a House of Representatives hopeful for Oruk Anam/Ukanafun Federal Constituency,
was further acknowledged for his philanthropic strides and for extending the reach of good governance and transformative initiatives to Akwa Ibomites through his initiatives.
The award formally celebrates his dedication, professionalism, and significant contributions to leadership and governance.
Responding to the honour, Chief Churchill Etuk expressed deep appreciation to the forum, describing the recognition as motivating. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the vision of Pastor Umo Eno, particularly the Arise Agenda, Hope Initiative which he hailed as a canvas for development, economic empowerment, and inclusive prosperity across Akwa Ibom State.
Etuk also praised the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio for his charismatic leadership of the National Assembly and unparalleled representation in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, and promised to galvanize support for his re-election and others in the APC.
The delegation also included Aniekan Peters (Chairman), Samuel Udoma (Director of Information), Idongesit Ekpe (Chairman, Stakeholders Caucus), Mrs Malubia Arah, and Offiong Ita.
