Some oil-loading , operations have been suspended in Fujairah after a drone incident triggered a fire in the emirate’s major oil industry zone, according to industry and trade sources. The disruption occurred amid escalating tensions linked to the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.

Officials said the fire began after debris fell during the interception of a drone by air defense systems. Civil defense teams responded quickly to contain the blaze, and authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.

Fujairah serves as a key global energy hub outside the Strait of Hormuz and handles the export of roughly one million barrels per day of the UAE’s Murban crude oi
udeyaffected shipments remains unclear.

The incident came shortly after U.S. strikes targeted military positions at Kharg Island. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that U.S. interests in the United Arab Emirates, including ports and military facilities, could be considered legitimate targets.

The UAE’s state oil company Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has not yet issued a formal comment on the suspension of loading operations. Earlier in the week, the company also shut down its Ruwais refinery after a separate drone strike caused a fire at a facility within the complex.

The developments highlight the growing impact of the regional conflict on global energy infrastructure, with supply disruptions raising concerns across international oil markets.
