Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, on Wednesday decorated 80 newly promoted officers serving in the command, elevating them from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).
The decoration ceremony, held at the Command headquarters, marked a significant milestone in the careers of the officers.
In his address, CP Jimoh congratulated the officers, describing their promotion as well deserved and a testament to their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to duty.
He urged the newly promoted ASPs to see their elevation as a call to greater responsibility, emphasizing the importance of discipline, respect for human rights, and adherence to community-oriented policing principles.
“The reward for hard work is more work,” the Commissioner stated, charging the officers to redouble their efforts in ensuring the safety and security of residents in Lagos State.
CP Jimoh also expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission for their commitment to motivating officers through timely promotions. According to him, such initiatives serve as morale boosters and contribute to improved service delivery within the Force.
