Bandits have abducted a Kebbi State High Court judge, Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza, during a midnight attack on his residence in Bunza Local Government Area of the state.
The gunmen reportedly stormed the judge’s home along Zogirma Road shortly after midnight on Sunday, firing sporadically before taking him away.
The judge had reportedly returned from Sokoto State shortly before the attack.
Sources said no member of his household was injured during the incident, while the abduction was immediately reported to the relevant authorities, including the leadership of the Kebbi State High Court.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Kebbi State Police Command, SP Bashir Usman, said Justice Bunza was abducted from his residence around midnight.
He disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Umar Muhammad Hadejia, has deployed tactical and intelligence teams to rescue the judge and apprehend the abductors
