The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State has commended Governor Umo Eno for what it described as his inclusive leadership style and commitment to political unity in the state.

The party gave the commendation in a statement issued after its stakeholders’ meeting held in Uyo, where discussions were centred on party affairs and preparations ahead of forthcoming primaries.

In the statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Chief Patrick Edeke, the APC described Governor Eno as a visionary and unifying leader whose approach to governance had continued to promote stability, cooperation, and political harmony across the state.

The party noted that the success of the stakeholders’ meeting was largely due to the governor’s leadership qualities, humility, and commitment to the collective interest of the party.

The APC also acknowledged the presence and contributions of the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, describing his role and political influence as significant to the growth and unity of the party in Akwa Ibom State and across the country.

Following resolutions reached at the meeting, the party announced the constitution of a Local Organising Committee to oversee arrangements for the forthcoming APC primaries in the state.

According to the statement, the committee is chaired by Prince Enobong Uwah, while Envoy Nsentip Akpabio will serve as secretary.

Other members of the committee include Rt. Hon. Kufre Edidem, Hon. Frank Archibong, Engr. Uwem Okoko, Hon. Chief Uno Etim Uno, Arc. Ubokutom Nya, Barr. Kemfon Neke, Obongawan Geraldine Etuk, and Hon. Dr. Owoidighe Ekpoattai.

The party expressed confidence in the ability of the committee members to conduct the assignment with fairness, transparency, and in line with the constitution and guidelines of the APC.

The APC reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy, party unity, and the emergence of credible candidates ahead of future elections in the state.
