The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has visited the family of late advertising personality Isaac Nwosu, popularly known as Aiza, who was allegedly murdered in Awka, the state capital.
Nwosu’s body was reportedly found inside his Toyota Hilux vehicle on Sunday, while another body was discovered on a nearby street later that night.
Following the incident, CP Ama held a two-hour closed-door strategic meeting with the command’s strategic and operational officers to review intelligence and information received from members of the public, particularly in Awka, and strengthen security operations against violent crimes.
The commissioner subsequently visited Nwosu’s family to express his condolences, describing the deceased as an asset to Anambra State who would be greatly missed by his family and the people of the state.
Ama said the police command would particularly miss Nwosu for his contributions to its security advocacy efforts and other responsibilities.
He disclosed that he had directed relevant operational and investigative units to intensify efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killing.
The commissioner assured the bereaved family and residents of Anambra State that the command would pursue the investigation with determination and ensure that those behind the incident are brought to justice.
He also urged residents to remain confident in the police and continue to provide useful information that could assist investigators in unravelling the circumstances surrounding the killing.
