Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has congratulated Elder Etim Eyakenyi, husband of the Deputy Governor, Distinguished Senator Akon Eyakenyi, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
In a goodwill message issued on his behalf by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, the Governor joined family members, friends, and associates in celebrating the octogenarian.
Governor Eno commended Elder Eyakenyi for his steadfast support, strength, and understanding, particularly his unwavering backing of his wife in her service to the state.
He described the celebrant as a father figure and statesman whose life exemplifies grace, wisdom, and dedication.
“You have not only been a husband to our Deputy Governor but a father to us all, and above all, a true statesman. I salute and celebrate you,” the Governor said.
“At 80, your life reflects grace, wisdom, and a remarkable journey of purpose, strength, and sacrifice.
“I thank you for your continued support, fatherly counsel, and encouragement, which have contributed in no small measure to the success of the work we are doing for our dear State.”
Governor Eno prayed for continued good health, peace, and fulfillment for the celebrant in the years ahead.
“As you celebrate this landmark, I pray that God grants you more years in good health, peace, and fulfillment. Happy 80th birthday once again,” he added.
