Daughter of Anambra State Governor, Adaora Soludo, has been appointed as the state women’s leader of President Bola Tinubu’s political support group, the City Boy Movement.

A statement by the Anambra State Media Director of the movement confirmed Adaora’s new role, tasking her with coordinating the women’s wing of the group across the state. The appointment was also verified by Governor Soludo’s media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe.

This development follows a recent visit to Governor Soludo by the South-East leader of the movement, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, alongside other members at the Light House, Awka.

The City Boy Movement, affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), was founded in 2022 to promote democratic participation, national cohesion, and issue-based dialogue. The group emphasizes civic responsibility over wealth and claims membership from traders, artisans, students, farmers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

The term “City Boy,” associated with President Tinubu, is said to symbolize resilience, bold thinking, and transformative leadership, which the movement aims to uphold in its activities.

Adaora Soludo’s appointment is expected to strengthen the movement’s engagement with women across Anambra State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
