Hip-hop legend, Snoop Dogg is mourning the death of his granddaughter, Codi, following a heartbreaking announcement by his daughter, Cori Broadus.
Cori confirmed the tragic news on Saturday via social media, sharing a black-and-white photo of herself smiling while holding her baby.
In the emotional post, she described Codi as the “love of my life” and revealed that the child had passed away earlier in the week.
Codi, Snoop Dogg’s 10-month-old granddaughter, was born three months premature, spent much of her short life receiving care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Her early arrival led to ongoing medical challenges, which Cori had openly shared with her followers over the past months.
Despite the difficulties, Cori often posted hopeful updates, expressing gratitude, faith, and optimism as Codi continued to fight.
Just weeks before her passing, Cori shared a photo of herself resting beside her daughter, writing that God had answered their prayers and that – Codi was showing signs of improvement.
In a later post, Cori wrote, “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” accompanied by an angel-wing emoji.
Codi’s father, Wayne Deuce, Cori’s fiancé, also paid tribute to his daughter on Instagram Stories.
Sharing a series of photos, including one of him holding the baby, he wrote, “I’ve been the saddest since you left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know you are at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”
Although Snoop Dogg has not yet issued a public statement, news of Codi’s death has sparked an outpouring of condolences from fans, friends, and well-wishers around the world, who have sent messages of support to the Broadus family during this difficult time.
