The Commander Corps of Signals, Major General Mohammed Abdullahi, has commended the outgoing Chief of Staff, Headquarters Nigerian Army Signals, Major General Solomon Emmanuel, for his dedication, discipline and commitment to duty, while charging officers and personnel to emulate his leadership style.
The commendation was made during a send off ceremony organized in honour of the outgoing Chief of Staff at the Headquarters, Nigerian Army Signals, Murtala Mohammed House, Arakan Cantonment, Lagos, on January 5, 2026.
Speaking at the event, Major General Abdullahi congratulated Major General Emmanuel on his promotion to the rank of Major General, describing him as a seasoned professional who served the Corps of Signals with diligence and operational discipline throughout his tenure.
He noted that the outgoing Chief of Staff contributed significantly to maintaining professionalism and efficiency at the Headquarters, expressed confidence in his ability to perform effectively in his new appointment.
The Commander Corps of Signals further urged officers and soldiers of Headquarters Nigerian Army Signals to sustain the standards established during the outgoing Chief of Staff’s tenure, emphasizing the importance of continuity, teamwork and dedication to duty for the growth of the Corps.
In his remarks, Major General Emmanuel expressed appreciation for the support and cooperation received from officers and personnel during his time as Chief of Staff.
He acknowledged the role of teamwork in the achievements recorded, encouraged personnel to remain committed to their responsibilities in advancing the objectives of the Corps of Signals.
The ceremony was attended by senior officers, directors, principal staff officers, personnel of Headquarters Nigerian Army Signals, marking the formal conclusion of Major General Emmanuel’s tenure following his promotion and subsequent posting.
