The Nigerian Navy has officially published the list of successful candidates shortlisted for the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Batch 38 recruitment interview, following the nationwide recruitment examination conducted on November 29, 2025.
According to an official notice released by the Navy, candidates whose names appear on the recruitment portal at https://www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng emerged successful in the examination and are hereby invited to attend the next phase of the selection process, which is the interview stage.
The interview exercise is scheduled to hold concurrently at two designated centres, namely the Nigerian Defence Academy Old Site in Kaduna State and the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School at Onne, Rivers State. The interview is expected to run from January 10 to February 21, 2026.
The Navy clarified that candidates have been grouped according to their geopolitical zones to ensure smooth coordinated, effective conduct of the exercise. Candidates from the North West, North Central and North East geopolitical zones are to attend their interviews at the Nigerian Defence Academy Old Site in Kaduna, while candidates from the South West, South South and South East zones are to report to the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School in Onne, Rivers State.
The interview schedule and sequence of attendance are as follows:
North West candidates are to attend their interview at the Nigerian Defence Academy Old Site, Kaduna State, from January 10 to January 23, 2026.
North Central candidates are scheduled for the same venue from January 24 to February 6, 2026.
North East candidates will attend their interview at the Kaduna centre from February 7 to February 20, 2026.
South South candidates are to report to the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School, Onne, Rivers State, from January 10 to January 23, 2026.
South East candidates will attend their interview at the Onne centre from January 24 to February 6, 2026.
South West candidates are scheduled for their interview at NNBTS Onne from February 7 to February 20, 2026.
The Nigerian Navy urged all shortlisted candidates to strictly adhere to their assigned dates, venues and instructions as published on the recruitment portal, warning that failure to comply may lead to disqualification.
The notice was signed by the Navy Secretary, reaffirming the Navy’s commitment to a transparent, merit based and orderly recruitment process, aimed at strengthening the service with disciplined and capable personnel.
