The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reportedly settled all outstanding financial entitlements owed to Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, a move said to have further lifted the team’s morale ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations knockout stage.

According to Nigerian sports platform, Sports Unlimited, a source close to the team in Fez, Morocco, confirmed that the French tactician has received his full remuneration, including his salary up to January 2026.

The source disclosed that Chelle is now financially settled, fully focused on the task ahead, describing the coach as being in a positive and motivated state of mind.
“Eric Chelle is in a good place financially.

He has been paid all his entitlements, including his January 2026 salary,” the source said.

It was further revealed that Chelle earns 60,000 dollars, calculated at 20,000 dollars per match, and receives an allowance of 400 dollars per day since the team’s camp opened in Egypt.

The source praised the NFF for its handling of financial obligations, noting that the smooth payment structure has contributed to harmony within the team.

“The NFF has done well in this regard. The coaches are happy, the players are not complaining, the fans are satisfied because the team is playing well, winning. There are no controversies at all,” the source added.

Chelle has guided Nigeria to a perfect record in the group stage, recording three wins from three matches.

The Super Eagles will face Mozambique in the round of 16 on Monday, as they continue their push for continental glory.
