Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, is set to commission 1.4 kilometres of newly constructed internal roads at the Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia.
This is part of his administration’s ongoing drive towards strengthening security infrastructure, improving public service delivery.
The project, executed under the ARISE Agenda of the Pastor Umo Eno – led administration, is aimed at improving access within the Police Headquarters complex, while enhancing the operational efficiency, working environment of officers – men of the Nigeria Police Force.
The development also reflects the administration’s broader commitment towards supporting security agencies through targeted infrastructure that promotes safety, professionalism.
With the completion of the internal roads at the Police Headquarters, the total length of roads either completed or currently being undertaken by the Umo Eno administration has now surpassed 965 kilometres across the state, cutting across urban and rural communities.

A statement issued on Sunday by Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah,
Commissioner for Information indicates that the commissioning ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, at 4:00pm
It reiterates state government’s commitments towards investments in security infrastructure remain a key pillar of the ARISE Agenda, noting that improved facilities and access roads are critical to enhancing response time, coordination, overall security operations across the state.
