Nigerian comedian, actor and content creator Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has earned a Master of Arts degree with distinction in Performance (Acting) from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, United Kingdom.

The entertainer announced the achievement on Wednesday, November 4, through a video shared on his social media pages, showing moments from his graduation ceremony.

Mr Macaroni expressed gratitude to God, his family, friends and supporters for their encouragement throughout his postgraduate studies.

He described the programme as demanding, explaining that it challenged him academically, creatively and professionally while providing opportunities to develop his acting skills.

The comedian said completing the degree represented another important stage in his personal development and commitment to improving his craft.

His announcement attracted congratulatory messages from colleagues, entertainers and followers across the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe congratulated him on the achievement, while comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, also celebrated the milestone.

Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele joined other entertainers in congratulating Mr Macaroni on completing the programme.

The latest qualification adds to the actor’s academic achievements and professional training in theatre and performance.

Mr Macaroni previously obtained a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and Film Studies from Redeemer’s University, Nigeria, in 2018.

His educational journey included studies at several institutions before he completed his undergraduate programme.

In 2025, he also completed an Advanced Acting for Camera course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

During his postgraduate training at Mountview, the entertainer participated in theatrical productions, including a performance in 55 Days, a historical stage play written by Howard Brenton.

Earlier in 2026, he disclosed that his postgraduate research explored the relationship between Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed and Afrocentric performance techniques in addressing sociopolitical oppression.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Mr Macaroni is widely recognised for his comedy sketches, particularly his popular Daddy Wa character, and his appearances in Nollywood productions.

He has also gained public attention for his commentary on governance, accountability and social issues.

His latest academic achievement reflects his continued involvement in formal performance training alongside his established career in comedy, film and theatre.
