Paul Ibe, media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has called on President Bola Tinubu to seek medical attention following the circulation of a video from the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna State.
Ibe, whose principal is the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made the remarks while speaking with journalists on Sunday.
He claimed that the footage raised concerns about the President’s physical condition and urged Tinubu’s family to prioritise his health.
According to Ibe, the President should suspend his re-election campaign and undergo medical evaluation rather than continue participating in political activities.
He alleged that Tinubu appeared to be shaking during the event, describing the footage as a reason for concern.
The opposition spokesperson also questioned the camera coverage of the rally, alleging that close-up footage of the President had been deliberately limited.

However, the claims about Tinubu’s health and the alleged manipulation of camera angles have not been independently substantiated.
The controversy follows Saturday’s APC campaign launch in Kaduna, where Tinubu addressed supporters as the ruling party formally commenced its preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
A separate video circulating on social media appeared to show First Lady Oluremi Tinubu handing the President an unidentified item during the event.
The footage generated speculation among social media users, although the nature of the item has not been established.
There is no verified medical evidence linking the footage to any illness or confirming the claims made about the President’s health.
Meanwhile, the APC Presidential Campaign Council has accused Atiku and the ADC of attempting to undermine the Kaduna rally through alleged misinformation and manipulated materials.
In a statement issued on Saturday, campaign council spokesperson Dele Alake alleged that the opposition was planning to circulate doctored images, artificial intelligence-generated videos and misleading reports.

The ADC has challenged the allegations, asking the ruling party to provide evidence of the alleged misinformation campaign.
The competing claims come as political parties intensify their activities ahead of the 2027 general election.
While Ibe has called for medical attention, the President’s health cannot be reliably assessed from social media footage alone.
No official medical assessment confirming the opposition spokesperson’s allegations was available at the time of this report.
