Thousands of mourners have gathered in Peshawar, Pakistan, for funeral prayers following a school rooftop collapse that reportedly killed at least 34 children and a teacher.
More than 50 people were also injured in the incident, which has raised concerns about the safety of school buildings and the condition of educational infrastructure.
Families, community members and other mourners attended the funeral prayers to pay their final respects to the victims.
Police attributed the collapse to weak infrastructure, but further details about the building’s structural condition and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

The reported death toll stands at 35, while more than 50 people sustained injuries.
