The United States Department of Agriculture has announced the recall of about 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef and goat products produced by Star Meat Delivery Inc. of Lucama, North Carolina, after the products were found to have been manufactured without federal inspection.
According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, the products were also found to carry a false USDA mark of inspection, meaning they were improperly labelled and had not been verified as safe, wholesome and correctly labelled.
The recall has been classified as Class I, the highest level of health risk under the USDA recall system. The classification applies when there is a reasonable probability that consuming or being exposed to a violating product could result in serious health consequences or death.
The affected products were produced on various dates before September 22, 2026, and include raw pork, beef and goat meat packed in vacuum-sealed packages and placed in cardboard boxes.
Among the recalled products are goat cuts, goat skin-on cuts, ribeye slices, beef chuck, oxtail, beef short ribs, beef shanks, ground pork, pork chorizo, pork chops, pork feet, pork ribs, pork Boston cuts, pork hocks and other beef and pork products.

The FSIS said products bearing the establishment number “EST. 1363” should be considered misbranded and unsafe for consumption.
The recalled meat was shipped to A&D Foods, a distributor in Duluth, Georgia, for further distribution to retailers and restaurants across the United States.
Why the meat was recalled
The FSIS said the products were produced without the required federal inspection and were falsely labelled with a USDA inspection mark.
Under the Federal Meat Inspection Act, commercially sold meat intended for human consumption must undergo federal inspection, either wholly or in part. The requirement applies to livestock including cattle, sheep, swine and goats.
The agency said the violation was discovered during surveillance activities.
It warned that meat produced without inspection could contain undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria or other contaminants that may pose risks to consumers.
What consumers should do

Consumers who purchased any of the recalled products have been advised not to eat them.
Restaurants and retailers have also been instructed not to sell or serve the affected products.
The FSIS recommends that the products be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
As of the time of the recall announcement, no illnesses or injuries had been reported in connection with the products. However, anyone concerned about possible illness or injury after consuming the meat has been advised to contact a healthcare provider.
