Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has challenged supporters of Peter Obi to produce a result sheet showing that the former Anambra State governor won Rivers State in the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking to the media on Monday, he rejected claims by supporters of Obi, popularly known as Obidients, that Obi won Rivers State.
“They won by their own imagination. Who did INEC declare to have won?” Wike said.
He further challenged Obi’s supporters to provide evidence for their claim.
“Let them produce that result sheet that says Obi won,” he said.
Wike also questioned the claim in relation to the election petition proceedings that followed the 2023 presidential election.
“When they went to the tribunal, were they able to defend their claim?” he asked.
He went on to dismiss social media claims as a basis for determining the outcome of the election in the state.
“You can win on social media; I’m not interested in social media winning,” Wike said, adding: “You don’t stay in one place in Port Harcourt and say Obi has won.”
