The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of three new members to the state Advisory Council, alongside new appointments and redeployments across some government agencies.
The appointments were announced by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, in Ibadan on Friday.
The new members of the Advisory Council, chaired by Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, are Abu Salami, Ezekiel Oyedepo and Lydia Bankole.
In another appointment, Adekunle Bankole was named Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.
The governor also approved the redeployment of three officials to new positions.
Adeboyin Oladokun, formerly a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, was appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.
Abiodun Oluwaseun, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Project Delivery, was appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency. He replaces Muftau Salawu, who is the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement.
Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, a former member of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State board, was also appointed to the state Housing Corporation.
The new appointments and redeployments take effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.
Makinde congratulated the appointees and charged them to carry out their responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of Oyo State.
