Chelsea have completed a busy transfer deadline day as the club worked to reshape its squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, with the departure of midfielder Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City becoming the biggest development of the day.
The Blues agreed a £125 million deal for Fernandez, with the transfer matching the British record fee. The move forced Chelsea to explore late midfield reinforcements before the window closed.
