Former Nigerian President and Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has charged graduates of the institution to deploy their knowledge and talents to solve societal problems and create meaningful impact beyond personal success.

Jonathan gave the charge while presiding over the 15th Graduation Ceremony of Cavendish University Uganda, where he congratulated the Class of 2026 on their academic milestone.

Speaking in line with the theme of the ceremony, “Graduating Global Talent for Employment, Entrepreneurship and Impact,” Jonathan urged the graduands to embrace purpose, innovation and service as they begin the next phase of their lives.

He challenged them to become innovators and changemakers capable of transforming communities and contributing solutions to social and economic challenges.

Jonathan stressed that the true measure of success should not be limited to personal achievements but should also be determined by the positive difference an individual makes in the lives of others.

He therefore urged the graduates to pursue careers and endeavours that would enable them to leave a lasting legacy of service and positive transformation.

Jonathan congratulated the Class of 2026 and wished them courage, excellence and lasting impact in their post-university journey.
