The General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to focus on tackling insecurity rather than attempting to stop preaching in commercial buses.
Oyedepo made the call while reacting to the proposed amendment to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Act, which seeks to penalise individuals who preach in commercial vehicles.
The cleric questioned why the government was giving attention to preaching in buses when many parts of the country continue to face serious security challenges.

According to him, protecting the lives and property of Nigerians should take priority over regulating religious activities in public transportation, maintaining that restoring security across the country is more important than introducing policies aimed at restricting bus preaching.
Bishop Oyedepo, in his words, said, “There are people who cannot sleep in their homes because of insecurity, yet the concern is preaching in buses. That should not be the issue.”
