Akwa Ibom State has received 6-point-2 million dollars from the World Bank-assisted State Action on Business Enabling Reform, SABER, Programme in recognition of its performance in transparency, budgetary management and good governance.
Governor Umo Eno announced the award during the July Covenant Service at Government House, Uyo, describing it as a validation of his administration’s commitment to accountability and the implementation of the ARISE Agenda.

The Governor also announced the resumption of Ibom Air’s international flights from Uyo to Accra, the procurement of 50 compressed natural gas buses to boost public transportation, and plans to establish Youth Development Centres in all 31 local government areas.
Governor Eno further urged media practitioners and the public to verify information before publication, warning against the spread of false information. He also thanked church leaders for their continued prayers for the peace and development of Akwa Ibom State.
