The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, has dismissed claims that Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, poses a political threat to the Tinubu administration.
Speaking on the Mic On Podcast, Dare said the government is focused on delivering its mandate and is confident in its performance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the administration has implemented policies and programmes aimed at addressing the country’s challenges and has a strong record to present to Nigerians.
Dare also criticised some of Obi’s public comments, describing them as lacking clarity.
He further expressed confidence that Obi would not repeat his 2023 presidential election performance in Lagos, where he defeated Tinubu, insisting that the political landscape has changed ahead of the 2027 elections.
