The Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) have commissioned a newly constructed Taraba State Police Command Headquarters and a Modern Divisional Police Headquarters in Yorro Local Government Area of the state.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, who was represented by the Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Command, CP Morkwap Sebastine Dongshal, alongside the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Mohammed Sheidu, and representatives of the Taraba State Government.
Speaking on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, CP Dongshal expressed appreciation to the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for their continued commitment to enhancing the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force through the provision of critical infrastructure.

He noted that the projects align with the IGP’s vision of people-centred policing, particularly in the areas of improved welfare, modern policing infrastructure, and the creation of a conducive working environment for officers and personnel of the Force.
According to him, the new facilities will not only improve administrative efficiency but also strengthen policing operations, enhance service delivery, and boost the capacity of the command to effectively respond to security challenges within the state.
The projects form part of ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Trust Fund to support police reforms and improve operational effectiveness through strategic investments in infrastructure, equipment, and personnel welfare across the country.

The commissioning marks another milestone in the collaborative efforts of the Federal Government, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund to modernise policing infrastructure and strengthen internal security nationwide.
