The Executive Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, Hon. Glory Ekah Effiong, has been honoured with the Outstanding Local Government Chairman in the South-South Award by Officials Nigeria Magazine.
The award was presented in recognition of her leadership and contributions to grassroots development in the local government area.
Reacting to the recognition, Hon. Effiong described the award as both humbling and inspiring, stating that it reflected the support and commitment of the people of Ibeno towards development and progress.
She expressed appreciation to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, for what she described as his visionary leadership and commitment to people-oriented governance across the state.
The council chairman dedicated the award to the people of Ibeno Local Government Area and reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to promoting unity, development, and effective service delivery in line with the state government’s ARISE Agenda.
