United States President, Donald Trump has announced that an agreement involving the US, Iran and regional stakeholders has been “largely negotiated,” with only final details remaining before completion.
In a statement shared on social media, Trump announced that the remaining aspects of the proposed deal would be revealed soon, adding that the arrangement could include the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically important global shipping route.
Pakistan also indicated progress in diplomatic efforts, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealing that another round of discussions between the United States and Iran is expected to begin in the near future.

According to Pakistani officials, recent meetings with Iranian leaders in Tehran produced what they described as “highly productive talks” and signs of progress towards a broader understanding between both sides.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said discussions are currently focused on ending the ongoing conflict on multiple fronts, including Lebanon, while maintaining its position against negotiations concerning its nuclear programme.
