The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results that were previously withheld for further review and investigation.
The board disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, noting that the newly released results are in addition to those already made available earlier.

According to JAMB, the development follows ongoing investigations into suspected cases of examination malpractice and irregularities observed during the examination process.
The examination body explained that while some results had been released after investigations found no initial evidence linking candidates to wrongdoing, others had been cancelled where findings established involvement in examination malpractice.
JAMB stated that certain results remain under review, particularly those from examination centres flagged by its live monitoring teams or centres where adverse reports and suspicious activities were recorded during the conduct of the examination.
The board added that such results would remain withheld until investigations are concluded and appropriate decisions are reached.
It further warned that results would be cancelled where sufficient evidence establishes candidate involvement in examination malpractice or other violations of examination regulations.
JAMB advised candidates whose results are yet to be released to verify their status through the official result-checking channel.

According to the board, affected candidates can check their status by sending UTMERESULT via SMS to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
The board reiterated its commitment to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the examination process while ensuring fairness in handling all reported cases.
