The Nigeria Democratic Congress has announced the timetable and fees for its 2027 primary elections, with presidential aspirants expected to pay N60 million for nomination and expression of interest forms.
According to a statement issued by the party’s National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, governorship aspirants will pay N30 million to obtain their forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party said the sale of forms will begin on May 13 and end on May 18.
Cleopas advised all aspirants seeking elective positions on the party’s platform to participate in the screening exercise with the required credentials and supporting documents.
The NDC also announced special concessions for female aspirants and persons living with disabilities as part of efforts to encourage wider political participation.
Under the arrangement, female aspirants are expected to pay only 50 per cent of the prescribed fees, while persons with disabilities will pay 25 per cent across all categories.
The party further disclosed that its presidential primary election is scheduled to be held in Abuja on May 29.
