JAMB REVEALS HIGHEST SCORERS IN 2026 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the list of top-performing candidates in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The list was announced on Monday during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja.

According to the board, Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin from Ekiti State emerged as the highest scorer nationwide with 372 out of a maximum 400 points.

The candidate selected the University of Lagos as their first choice institution to study MBBS.

Enwere Kingsley Ikenna from Imo State followed with 370 points and chose Nile University of Nigeria to study Computer Science.

Bamisile Ayomide Emmanuel from Ondo State scored 369 and applied to the Federal University of Technology Akure for Software Engineering.

Other candidates who ranked among the top scorers include Olabiyisi Olanrewaju Oluwatimileyin from Oyo State, Victor-Onyeka Daniel Ifeanyi from Imo State, Osagiobare Daniel Osahenrumwen from Edo State, Ademiluyi Adebowale Anthony from Osun State, and Azuike Kenechukwu Anthony from Anambra State, all of whom scored 368.

Offorkile Michael Okechukwu from Abia State, Adebisi Eniola Sonari from Ogun State, and Umukoro Gift Orhenevovwero from Delta State also made the list with scores of 367.

Most of the top candidates selected courses in engineering, computer science, medicine, and technology-related disciplines.

The announcement came as JAMB and stakeholders continue deliberations on admission guidelines and policies for the 2026 academic session.
