RSUTH FELICITATES TAMUNOKURO ON EMERGENCE AS NMA SECRETARY GENERAL

The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) has congratulated Dr Diamond Tamunokuro following his election as Secretary General of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) at the association’s ongoing Annual Delegates Meeting in Kano.

In a statement issued by the Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor, on behalf of the hospital’s management and staff, the institution described Tamunokuro’s emergence as a reflection of his dedication, leadership capacity, and sustained commitment to the advancement of the medical profession in Nigeria.

Prof. Alikor noted that the achievement underscores the growing influence of medical professionals from Rivers State in national health leadership, adding that Tamunokuro’s new role presents an opportunity to further strengthen professional standards and advocacy within the healthcare sector.

The hospital also commended the Rivers State delegation to the delegates’ meeting for what it described as “outstanding representation and solidarity,” while acknowledging the South-South caucus for its unity and coordination throughout the electoral process.

RSUTH further paid tribute to Nigerian doctors across the country, recognising their resilience and continued contributions to healthcare delivery despite prevailing challenges in the sector.
