Nigerian street-hop singer, Portable has alleged foul play following his defeat to comedian and content creator, Carter Efe in a celebrity boxing bout, insisting he was “robbed” and demanding ₦200 million in revenue from event organisers.

The bout, held in Lagos as part of the Chaos in the Ring event, ended in a unanimous decision victory for Carter Efe, with all three judges scoring the contest 30–27 in his favour.

Speaking in an Instagram Live session shortly after the fight, Portable rejected the outcome, claiming the match was unfairly judged and tilted against him.

“I was robbed… I threw many punches, why didn’t you count them?” he said, accusing officials of ignoring his efforts while favouring his opponent.

The singer further alleged that Carter Efe relied on physical advantages, including height and reach, to dominate the fight, and criticised referees for allowing excessive clinching.

Portable also issued a financial demand, calling on organisers to release what he described as ₦200 million in streaming revenue, warning of consequences if the payment is not made.

Despite Portable’s protests, reports indicate that Carter Efe controlled the three-round contest, landing cleaner punches and dictating the pace of the fight.
The victory ended Portable’s reign as celebrity boxing champion, having previously defeated entertainers including Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington.

The fight took place amid controversy surrounding the event, which was briefly disrupted by a tear gas incident after security intervened to control crowd disturbances at the venue.
Although normalcy was later restored and the main event concluded, the incident drew criticism over safety and organisation.

Amid the controversy, Portable downplayed the significance of the loss, stating that his family particularly the birth of his newborn child was more important than retaining his boxing title.

The organisers of the event have yet to publicly respond to the allegations of bias and the financial demand at the time of filing this report.
