The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress has approved an extension of the timelines for the sale and submission of nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The decision was reached at the party’s NWC meeting held on Thursday at its National Secretariat in Abuja.
Briefing journalists after the meeting, the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Durosinmi Meseko, said the sale of Aspirants’ Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will now close at midnight on Monday, May 4, 2026.
He added that the deadline for the submission of completed forms, along with required documents, has been extended to midnight on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Meseko explained that the adjustment followed the declaration of a one-day public holiday, which affected the party’s original timetable.
Under the earlier schedule, the sale of forms was to run from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while the submission deadline was fixed for May 4, 2026.
The extension is expected to give prospective aspirants additional time to complete and submit their documentation as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
