All public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as government technical colleges in Ogun State, are set to resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, April 27.
The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology made this known in a statement issued on April 22, 2026, and signed by the Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu.

According to the ministry, the resumption date aligns with the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session.
It urged parents and guardians to ensure their wards return to school promptly, stressing that academic activities would commence immediately.
“Parents and guardians are enjoined to prepare their wards for immediate resumption as academic work will start without any delay,” the statement read.
Schools across the state had earlier gone on break following the completion of the second term academic activities.

The third term represents the final phase of the academic session, during which schools are expected to complete their syllabuses and conduct promotion as well as external examinations.
