President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated renowned banker and philanthropist, Foluke Kafayat Abdulrazaq on the occasion of her 70th birthday, lauding her lifetime of service, dedication to national development.

In a statement issued by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the President described Abdulrazaq as “a beacon of hope and generosity,” highlighting her integrity, professionalism, and compassion across both public and private sectors.

Tinubu commended her distinguished career, noting that her expertise as a banker, boardroom leader, and educationist has made a lasting impact on Nigeria. He specifically recalled her pioneering role as the first female Commissioner of Finance in Lagos State from June 1997 to September 1998, where she played a key role in strengthening fiscal discipline.

The President also acknowledged her subsequent service as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, where she contributed significantly to advancing women’s empowerment and social welfare initiatives in the state.
