The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has extended Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslims across Nigeria, urging them to uphold the values of discipline, self-denial, sacrifice, and anti-corruption imbibed during the Ramadan period.
In his Sallah message delivered in Abuja on Friday, Olukoyede commended Muslim faithful for their devotion, resilience, and faith demonstrated throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, let us continue to reverence the values of discipline, self-denial, purity, anti-corruption, and commitment to higher ideals of life which the Ramadan season has imbued in us,” he said.
The EFCC chairman emphasised the importance of sustaining these virtues beyond the fasting period, noting that they are critical to building a better and corruption-free Nigeria.
He added that collective commitment to integrity and ethical conduct would contribute to national development and strengthen efforts to combat corruption.
“The best of us is what is good for the best of our nation. Together, we will make Nigeria better and corruption-free,” he stated.
Olukoyede also encouraged Nigerians to continue promoting unity, accountability, and moral responsibility in both public and private life.
