Three F-15E Strike Eagle jets of the United States were “mistakenly” shot down by Kuwait air defenses during ongoing operations in the Gulf amid the US-Israel offensive against Iran. All six pilots ejected safely and were recovered in stable condition.

Videos circulating online showed one jet spiralling down with smoke trailing, while two pilots parachuted to safety. Local residents assisted the pilots on the ground.

CENTCOM confirmed the incident, expressing gratitude to Kuwaiti forces and noting that the cause is under investigation. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence also confirmed the crashes, said all aircrew had been hospitalized and were stable.

Drone activity near Kuwait City triggered interceptions by air defenses in Rumaithiya and Salwa, while loud bangs and sirens were reported near the US embassy.

Meanwhile, US General, Dan Caine emphasized that US military objectives in the region will take time to achieve, involve difficult operations. US Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth said the operation aims to neutralize Tehran’s missile and naval capabilities without escalating into an “endless war.”

A fourth US service member has died from injuries sustained in the ongoing operations against Iran.
