Popular Nigerian TikTok content creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has escaped unhurt after a fire outbreak involving his generator at his residence in Lagos.
Peller shared a video of the incident on his Instagram page in the early hours of Saturday. The footage showed flames engulfing the generator while the visibly shaken influencer called out for help as people around him attempted to put out the fire.
After several efforts – using buckets of water, the blaze was eventually brought under control. The generator was completely destroyed, but the building and its occupants were not affected.
The video quickly circulated across social media platforms, with fans expressing relief that no lives were lost. Many commended the swift response that prevented the fire from spreading further.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact cause of the fire had not been confirmed.
The latest incident comes months after Peller survived a separate scare along the Lekki Epe Expressway in Lagos.
During a livestream that attracted widespread attention, the influencer was seen driving his Mercedes Benz while visibly emotional. The broadcast, titled RIP Peller, sparked concern among followers after he made several distressing remarks before crashing into a roadside object.
