President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, on Monday received Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, alongside the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, and key leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the three senatorial districts of the state.
The visit, according to sources, was part of Governor Eno’s consultations with party leaders ahead of the 2027 governorship election, where he is expected to seek a second term in office.
At the end of the meeting, Senator Akpabio publicly endorsed Governor Eno’s reported 2027 governorship ambition and urged APC stakeholders across the state to unite behind him and other candidates of the party during the forthcoming general elections.
