Troops of the 17 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have rescued six kidnap victims during a routine patrol in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The Army says the victims, made up of four women and two children, escaped from their abductors and were found wandering in the bush by troops on patrol. Preliminary investigations revealed they were kidnapped on June 22 from Unguwan Lado in Kankara Local Government Area.
The victims received first aid, food and other immediate assistance before being reunited with their families.
Commander of the 17 Brigade, Brigadier General Ishaya Ibrahim, reaffirmed the Brigade’s commitment to sustaining operations against criminal elements and protecting lives and property across its area of responsibility.
