Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has said his administration deliberately engages indigenous contractors to create jobs, empower young entrepreneurs, boost economic growth in the state.

The Governor made the remarks on Thursday during inspections of various project sites, including the Equipment Leasing Company at Ekpri Nsukara Offot, the Aviation Village, and Dakkada Luxury Estate.

He commended the contractors for their timely and quality work, highlighting their industry and excellence as typical of hardworking Akwa Ibomites.

Governor Eno praised the Managing Director of HANSIE Building Services Limited, Engr. Alorye Ewa, for delivering an exceptional equipment leasing facility, describing it as one of the best concrete roads in the state.

“You see me smiling. This is a good work. All the contractors are our young people. They are doing well, he said”, adding that the facility will be commissioned on February 27.

Governor Eno reiterated his commitment to youth empowerment under the ARISE Agenda, urging young people to rise, embrace opportunities, and build a greater Akwa Ibom while creating jobs for others.

He added, “That is how you spread wealth, that is how you spread growth. This lady works, she takes control of her life and destiny. This is who we are as Akwa Ibomites.”
