Donald Trump and JD Vance have attacked the US Supreme Court following the ruling that struck down Trump’s global tariffs.
Trump told reporters at the White House that he was ashamed of Justices Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett, calling them an embarrassment to their families. He claimed the court had been influenced by foreign interests without providing evidence

Alito and Brett Kavanaugh for dissenting, describing them as patriots who love the country
Vance also criticized the justices on social media, calling the decision lawlessness from the court plain. He argued that Congress had given the President the power to regulate imports and the court ignored it
The ruling nullifies Trump’s key tariff policy used to pressure countries into supporting his trade agenda. Observers say this is one of the rare times a sitting President and his deputy have openly rebuked the Supreme Court
Trump described the decision as a huge setback for America, however promised to fight to protect American jobs and businesses
